Tatty Devine

In my last post I mentioned that I would not only write about the jewellery I make and sell as part of Kats Adorable Treasures but also about other people's amazing jewellery.

To start it off I want to talk about Tatty Devines Jewellery. This is a homegrown British jewellery brand, which is so quirky, unique and gorgeous. This whole brand is my inspiration.

Tatty Devine was dreamed up by Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden in 1999 their jewellery 'blurs the boundaries between art, fashion and culture'. The eye catching thing about jewellery is that is British, they only have two stores on Brick Lane and Monmouth Street, they also have a concession in the Oxford Street branch of Selfridges (this screams British).

The jewellery itself is colourful, bright and most importantly fun. They seem to have pieces which will match any mood your in. Whether your in a playful mood (dinosaur necklace), girly mood (candy heart necklace) and also just the bright and pretty mood (bunting). Not forgetting the famous name necklaces which are available in different fonts, colours and whatever you want to say! The ultimate original piece of jewellery as everyone can design their own.

If you have never heard of Tatty Devine, go have a gander. It will open your eyes to a world of amazing jewellery.

That's my first post on my favourite brands of jewellery. Short and sweet, I know but I do hope you enjoyed it :)

One Year

It's been just over one year since I decided to start making jewellery and create Kat's Adorable Treasures, so I thought it was high time that I attempted to write a blog again.

Blogging for me seems to become a chore after just a few posts, and I can never seem to stick to it. Lets hope this changes, as I think it's a great way to chronicle your life journey but in a more public way.

Kate's Adorable Treasures dabbles mainly in handmade polymer clay jewellery but also quite a lot of bits and bobs, such as beaded bracelets. My aim one day is to become a famous jewellery designer and own a fabulous brand such as the gorgeous Tatty Devine. One can dream :)

Business has been great lately and after passing my driving theory just this last week, all my energy has been devoted to jewellery.

This blog will capture the jewellery I'm making, write about things that have nspired me and also just general rumblings that I do.

Hopefully people will enjoy what I write and put up, but if all else fails least I am attempting to blog again :)
