Google Maps

Reading a community thread on Etsy the other day and i came across a wonderful idea for tracking sales through the Etsy shop. With Etsy it has a handy little section where it tracks your orders for you, giving you all the information you need for your personal use. Now the idea I came across on the thread was that someone used google maps to pin point the places they have sold to.

I loved this idea!! Especially with Etsy i have sold quite a few things to the USA, and i thought it would be quite nice to be able to visualize where my jewellery is being worn
.
So basically i stole this wonderful idea and have just spent the last ten minutes picking out the places across a map in bright colourful stars.

Its surprisingly therapeutic.
This makes me feel like i should be more organised in other areas of my Jewellery business. To the spreadsheets!
There a lots of things you can map, have you ever used Google maps to pinpoint special places to you?

Indecisive

Whilst in the shower this evening I had my usual burst of inspiration for K.A.T (shower time is my most productive time of the day). This idea ventured towards a new line of bracelets which I have been toying with for a good 6 months now but haven't really done anything with.

However, I realised it was another idea, meaning I have too many. I'm constantly going off in different directions never sticking to one for too long. Kats Adorable Treasures is slowly becoming a miss mash of everything, almost like a bric a brac store. And I like it :).

In my personal life I've never been a decisive person. I don't have a favourite colour, favourite song or movie etc. it all depends on the day and my mood. So what's stopping K.A.T bring like that? After all it's a personal creative outlet, and because I'm constantly changing my mind and trying out new ideas I think it should be reflected in my small business.

Kats Adorable Treasures really will be a treasure cove, and I'm proud!!

Homemade

Decided to make the packaging for my earrings all pretty and girly. Bought this gorgeous pack of paper from wilkinsons, and I've finally decided to put it to good use.

Quite a lot of the jewellery I make is on the girly side of things. Mainly because I make what I like. And I like girly :)

Hopefully my packaging reflects this and adds another element to my products.

It's 1am

This is really unusual for me to be awake at this time. I'm normally a early to bed kind of girl. Not because I wake up super early, more like I love to sleep. Just can't enough of the thing. Sleep is my drug.

I've been off work for the past week and with an infection in my mouth. Sounds nasty right? It is in a way but it's also not. I have an extra wisdom tooth, which is hidden under the gum but has an infection around it. So completely invisible to my dentist till he x rayed it. Voila! An extra tooth appears. So this has all led to me being on a course of antibiotics and also being off work as I talk for a living (fancy way of saying works in a call centre). It was painful to speak and my cheek was swollen, it's now developed into an earache as well. Not really selling this at all.

Anyway enough of a moan, I really came on to write this post to show you new items which have been added to my etsy.

Long Time. No See!

Hello there!

So I have done it once more. Don't think I need to write anything else really, apart from I guess this is my nature, a poor blogger!

I could say my usual speel that I promise that this will be the last, blah blah blah.... But we all not that's a lie, and maybe a month or two down the lie it will go silent again.

I've popped back onto my blog today to write this post, because I have been reinspired to create more jewellery. The past 6 months have been a bit tough in my personal life but that is now all behind me, lots of great things happened but it's been a struggling to implement these changes into my life. Back on track now!

New Range of compact mirrors

Owl Christmas Decoration

Last Sunday I found a whole saler based in China, which means I can produce more designs and items for Kats Adorable Treasures that will be more cost effective.

Happy Days!

Tatty Devine

In my last post I mentioned that I would not only write about the jewellery I make and sell as part of Kats Adorable Treasures but also about other people's amazing jewellery.

To start it off I want to talk about Tatty Devines Jewellery. This is a homegrown British jewellery brand, which is so quirky, unique and gorgeous. This whole brand is my inspiration.

Tatty Devine was dreamed up by Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden in 1999 their jewellery 'blurs the boundaries between art, fashion and culture'. The eye catching thing about jewellery is that is British, they only have two stores on Brick Lane and Monmouth Street, they also have a concession in the Oxford Street branch of Selfridges (this screams British).

The jewellery itself is colourful, bright and most importantly fun. They seem to have pieces which will match any mood your in. Whether your in a playful mood (dinosaur necklace), girly mood (candy heart necklace) and also just the bright and pretty mood (bunting). Not forgetting the famous name necklaces which are available in different fonts, colours and whatever you want to say! The ultimate original piece of jewellery as everyone can design their own.

If you have never heard of Tatty Devine, go have a gander. It will open your eyes to a world of amazing jewellery.

That's my first post on my favourite brands of jewellery. Short and sweet, I know but I do hope you enjoyed it :)
